Quantum Reinforcement Learning for Qiskit Aqua

Abstract

Develop a framework for quantum reinforcement learning (RL) for Qiskit Aqua, e.g., based on Q-learning as shown here: https://arxiv.org/pdf/1907.00397.pdf RL finds applications in optimal control, logistics, finance, and many other application areas. These problems usually suffer from the curse of dimensionality, which prevents computing the optimal policies. Quantum computers may have the potential to help by being able to represent exponentially large value functions / q-functions.
