Leakage randomized benchmarking in Qiskit
Abstract
Implement the leakage randomized benchmarking characerization protocol from [1] in Qiskit and use it to characterize leakage in IBMQ devices.

Description
Leakage is a type or error which may occur when a qubit is encoded in a 2-level subsystem of a higher dimensional quantum system, such as in superconducting transmon qubits. In these systems the population can leak out of the computational (qubit) subspace leading to hard to correct errors.
Leakage RB is a randomized benchmarking protocol for estimating two parameters: the rate of leakage out of the computational subspace, and the rate of seepage back into the computation subspace, in addition to the standard average gate fidelity estimate from standard RB.
Leakage RB is closely related to standard RB and could be implemented by modifying the standard RB circuits from Qiskit Ignis and building a new fitter to estimate the additional leakage and seepage rate parameters as described in Ref [1]

I have experience with Python but have a very limited idea of what exactly to do here. Would I still be welcome?
