Plan for Qiita's system wide clean up AKA "Automatic Spring Cleaning"

Last April (6 months ago) we had an internal discussion of the best way to keep Qiita free of bad datasets or data, we called the "Happy 1st: You Haven't Used The Item In Over A Year!!". This discussion yielded the below pointers for clean up and over the last 6 months the raise of new studies and users show the need to do this.

Main clean up tasks

• [ ] Close Reference extra files: do not produce and remove all from Qiita.
• [ ] Tutorial Analyses/Studies: automatic delete when they are 6+ months old.

Extra clean up points: this would need to add automatic reminders via emails to users before implementation.

• [ ] Empty Studies: delete if empty (no preps and sample information) after 6 months, no reminders
• [ ] Empty Studies: delete if no preps but sample information, send reminder at 3-5 months and delete at 6 months
• [ ] Empty Prep Info File (no raw data linked): delete after 6 months, no reminders.
• [ ] Preps with artifacts but no processing and not private or public: send reminder at 6-12-18 months, delete after 19 months.
• [ ] Analysis and analysis artifacts: reminder at 6-12-13 months, delete at 14 months if not private/public.
