What is the bug or the crash?

when i'm trying to change source of spatial data from local drive to POSTGRESQL into QGIS it just buffers and crashes QGIS with the below error:

"Codec ISO-8859-11 not found. Falling back to system locale"

Could you please help me to fix this. Please.

Steps to reproduce the issue

store spatial files in postgreSQL and try to open the QGIS project. When you try to change the source of the vectors from local system to postgreSQL database it just buffers trying to point to the database and then QGIS crashes.

@suraj-sigma-tech-north, thanks for reporting. Please:

  • provide the requested info ("Versions: In the QGIS Help menu -> About, click in the table, Ctrl+A and then Ctrl+C. Finally paste here.")
  • try if the issue does occur also using a new QGIS user Profile
  • try if the issue does occur also changing the encoding of the layer stored in the postgreSQL to TIS-620 (which should be the same of ISO-8859-11 according to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO/IEC_8859-11) before changing the source of the layer in the project
  • try if the issue does occur also directly adding the layer stored in the postgreSQL database to the project instead of changing the source of another layer in the project
  • provide the stack trace generated after the crash (if any)
