"partfile_read... no such file" IO error for partially downloaded torrent that is seeding

Open Abradox opened this issue 2 years ago • 5 comments

qBittorrent & operating system versions

qBittorrent: 4.5.0 x64 Operation system: OpenSUSE Tumbleweed Qt: 6.4.1 libtorrent-rasterbar: 2.0.8.0

What is the problem?

Several files, that were excluded from downloading, cause IO error while seeding - "<torrent_name> partfile_read (../file.dat) error: No such file or directory". Expected behavior: application should not try to read these files or should not show notification.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open torrent file and uncheck some files
  2. Wait for 100% progress
  3. Seed

Yes, I can confirm this issue. Happens sometimes when seeding torrent where I don't have all files. Workaround seems to be 'Force recheck' on torrent file with this problem, but maybe it is because it disconnects all the peers and they don't come back.

Same issue here.

Nothing other than that partfile_read error in the logs.

Seems problematic considering it happens for files that I have intentionally unchecked and have no intention of checking as they are a waste of space.

Same thing, happens constantly and sadly is very annoying.

Force recheck affected torrents.
