(Background)color indication for not working private torrents so user can spot them at a glance.

Suggestion

When I switched from uTorrent to qBittorrent years ago I noticed that in qBittorrent I can't spot private torrents that are not seeding/not working anymore because their color is the same when they are working and even their status shows "Seeding". In uTorrent these torrents are colored with red background (if I remember correctly) so it's very easy to spot them at a quick glance. In qBittorrent I have to click each torrent one by one and check their trackers, read their status and the messages and whatnot and decide if they are still working or not because there is no other quicker way (at least not that I know of) for me to differentiate them.

For example I have a private torrent right now that has only 1 tracker in it and DHT, PEX, LSD are all disabled for it. The status of this torrent in the main window of qBittorrent is "Seeding" and the color is the same blue as for all the other torrents even though the tracker status in the "Trackers" window is "Not working" (because the torrent was deleted from the tracker by admins some time ago and the message is "unregistered torrent").

It is not possible for this torrent to find peers anymore and no way it will ever "work" anymore but it's status and color doesn't indicate this. Only reason I found it was because I clicked through hundreds of torrents and checked them "manually".

Even after a hundred torrents it gets very time consuming and tiring to check them all by hand from time to time to see if they are still working or not let alone for thousands of torrents.

I will attach a screenshot that will show a case of what I'm talking about.

I think it is not unreasonable to ask for qBittorrent to indicate such torrents with at least a color (and maybe status too). Some red or eye-catching color for their background would be very cool so the user can spot them immediately without needing to click, read, think.

Of course this mostly makes sense for private torrents only but would still be a very usefull little feature to have in qBittorrent.

Thank you!

Use case

Use case would be basically every case where a user has any mix of torrents from private and public trackers. And where a user has only private torrents.

Hi dntndnm

Meanwhile, to show only "Not working" torrents in the transfer list ("unregistered", "passkey not found", etc.) you can use this filter:

Left pane > TRACKERS > Error

Thank you for the suggestion! Sadly it doesn't do the trick, I tried it a long time ago. Not good because I literally have a thousand trackers in that category. Many many public torrents will contain lots of erroring trackers. If I could select more than 1 tracker, I could select the private ones and the erroring ones and that would give me the ones I need, but that would still be a pain in the butt to do because the trackers list is very long and I would have to search for the private ones.

The little feature request I made I think really makes sense and would need maybe 2 lines of code (I'm not a coder sadly). Something like: if the torrent is private and all the trackers in it (if there's more than one) have a status other than working, color the background red or something similar is what I imagine might do the trick, but of course could be much more complex given how big is this project and how little I know of coding. :)

Many many public torrents will contain lots of erroring trackers.

Try deleting non-working trackers when adding a torrent to the client. Now you need to delete all non-working trackers from all torrents, because you didn't do it right away and a lot of torrents with an error have accumulated.

"Torrent status column description" being changed to like bottom part of this https://github.com/qbittorrent/qBittorrent/issues/2317#issuecomment-1361134526 may be of benefit to you... (It would differentiate between Seeding & Stalled Uploading & be more indicative of an issue being present)

Also, Why don't you "TAG" your torrents with something like Private/Public? (They'd be easier to sort etc.)
