Unable to make some columns smaller in v4.5.0, when I could before in 4.4.5
qBittorrent & operating system versions
qBittorrent: qBittorrent Windows x64 (lt20 qt6) v4.5.0 (I have also tried the other v4.5.0 variants for Windows x64) Operating system: Windows 10 x64 (10.0.1xxxx) Qt: 6.4.0 libtorrent-rasterbar: Uncertain where to find this.
What is the problem?
Previously in qBittorrent v.4.4.5 I was able to reduce the size of some columns. However, it seems that in v4.5.0 there is now a minimum width for columns and this value seems to be too high. I appreciate that some users might like the appearance of padding, but this is too much wasted space for my liking.
I have tried the other variants of v4.5.0 for Windows x64, however the issue still appears to persist.

There doesn't seem to be any limitation in the Web UI so maybe for the time being you could switch to that. Compared to the desktop UI it's not missing anything.
You can enable the Web UI in the settings and then just go to 127.0.0.1:8080 in your browser.
I've "fixed" this by deleting the qBittorrent folders in the %localappdata% and %appdata% locations. The columns now behave as before, so it seems this was bug in the configuration.
I've kept the old config folders in case anybody tries to suggest any solutions. But as far I'm concerned, my fresh installation of qBittorrent has remedied the issue.
I cant make it smaller than this, quite annoying.
I dont want to mess around with folders and deleting my settings.

Before doing anything, take screenshots of all the screens in qBittorrent's settings. Make sure you scroll down the pages as needed, to ensure you don't miss anything potentially important.
In Windows File Explorer's address bar, you only need to type in the two locations below. %appdata% %localappdata%
You can rename the qBittorrent folders found in the above locations if you want to make a backup of your existing qBittorrent setup. Otherwise, you can just delete them if you are perhaps feeling more confident.
It really isn't difficult and it's quite difficult to get wrong, especially if you keep a backup of the folders as I've instructed above.
I just replaced Qt6\TransferList\HeaderState=@ByteArray(......)
in %AppData% qBittorrent.ini and it works.
I have same issue as OP (only not using Windows, but Linux AppImage with lt2). May relate to

Did you try to remove Qt6\TransferList\HeaderState=@ByteArray(......)

Thanks, I did. Had to wait to restart everything. But now it seems to be working. Should be the default though (so people don't have to fiddle with config files).
