Additional process not closed after adding new torrent

qBittorrent info and operating system(s)

  • qBittorrent version: (4.3.7)
  • Operating system(s) where the issue occurs: (Windows 10)

If on Linux, libtorrent-rasterbar and Qt versions

  • Qt: (no)
  • libtorrent-rasterbar: (no)

What is the problem

(Additional process not closed after adding new torrent)

Detailed steps to reproduce the problem

  1. (Open qBittorrent)
  2. (add a new torrent)
  3. (you will find a new process in taskmgr)
  4. (you can spawn more by adding more torrents)
  5. (those processes won't disappear even after you quit qBittorrent)

What is the expected behavior

(those processes should be closed after confirm the operation)

This problem doesn't happen 100% of time, but pretty common.

I can reproduce on 4.3.8.

How do you reproduce this issue? Do you open the .torrent files from browser?

It doesn't matter, you can open a torrent file from HDD, can still reproduce it.

@logan2k Does this still happen with qBittorrent 4.6.2? If so, can you post a screenshot of taskmanager
