Can't read game time settings (white text on light grey background)

On my install the in-game time settings (byoyomi countdown) is in white text on a light grey background. I can't read it at all and had to play super quickly to avoid any issues.

If you need it I will take a screenshot when I get home.

Since you build from source anyway, please look at the diff in the last commit and modify to suit your needs (please report the result). I can't test what it looks like on mac.
