@vfdev-5 Hey! I was looking for a few first issues to contribute to! Can you guide me to a good first issue? Cause it seems the ones with the labels already have people working on them.
@harry7337 If you see an open issue that is open for more than 1 week and even if someone pretended to work on that, you can work on that as it most probably no one is working on that...
Hi @vfdev-5, I am new to Pytorch Ignite and the project seems interesting. So,I want to work on my first good issue. Can you assign me too for good first issue to work with?
Hey @anirudhb11 , glad that you find the project interesting.
So,I want to work on my first good issue. Can you assign me too for good first issue to work with?
This can depend on your skills. Let's try this issue: https://github.com/pytorch/ignite/issues/2791 . So, read the description of the issue and try to understand what we are trying to solve there and propose your solution. Please ask other related questions if any in #start-contributing
channels on discord (I saw you already joined it).
hey @vfdev-5, I am new to the open-source project community and I am interested to contribute on this project. So, I want to work on some good first issue. Can you help me and assign the issue to work? Its a great opportunity for me to contribute in this project. Thanks @vfdev-5
@BabaYaga1221 as you are new to open-source, check https://github.com/pytorch/ignite/blob/master/CONTRIBUTING.md then also check the website: https://pytorch-ignite.ai/ As for good first issues, you can go through the docs: website and API: https://pytorch.org/ignite/ and search for typos and unclear explanations. Once found something, you can create an issue with "docs" label and report the finding.
Hi @vfdev-5, I'm also new into the open source waters, I really like the project, Is there any good issue to begin with?.
Hey @Somarfagell, you can check this issue if you would like: https://github.com/pytorch/ignite/issues/2917 Otherwise all previous comments are also partly applicable.
In general, contributions to open-source projects can be started by reading https://github.com/pytorch/ignite/blob/master/CONTRIBUTING.md guidelines and then we can go different ways :
- go to the issue tracker and picking some help wanted issues: https://github.com/pytorch/ignite/issues?q=is%3Aissue+is%3Aopen+label%3A%22help+wanted%22
- open an new issue with a feature request
- go through the docs and opening issues / PR about fixing inconsistencies or unclear texts etc
Hi, @vfdev-5, I'm interested to contribute on this project. But I've never tried OSS contributor. Can you assign me too for good first issue ??
Hey @yulat214 for OSS contributions please check all above messages. As for a good first issue, we may not have any right now. Join Discord to get latest updates on help wanted issues and discuss fluently on topics
