Fix example nav sidebar stickiness

Partial but incomplete fix for #2274

Changes

  • Remove :orphan: from examples
  • Add hidden expamples toctree with nasty alphabet globbing trick
  • Deepen sidebar nav to 4

Follow-up Work

Figure out how to deal with tutorials & sidebar ordering for diff listings.

Issue: globbing works, but it doesn't allow manual control of toctree ordering.
