Issue
poetry lock produces a lockfile without the files for manylinux, musllinux and source.
This makes poetry install fail with
Unable to find installation candidates for orjson (3.9.1)
Tried the same thing in a clean docker container python:3.9 (same pyenv and pip installed) and it produces the expected lockfile with all the files included.
The diff of expected vs actual output:

Well, if it works in the docker container, but not in your home, what's the difference? probably your cache, delete that and try again. Also, when we ask for the verbose output, we are asking for a reason.
@clintonroy I interpreted exception in "If an exception occurs when executing a command" in the software sense of the world and not in the English sense of the word. Since the command just gave me thumbs up I didn't send the verbose output.
Clearing the entire cache with poetry cache clear <name> --all for all entries in poetry cache list seem to have made it work as expected again.
So the bug I guess is that normally operating poetry (Impossible to know where/when/what) made the cache misbehave and make it silently not installable for musllinux/manylinux. (Silently unless you manually go through the lockfile)
In case it adds to the data: The issue was first observed in poetry 1.4.2 and it was most likely poetry 1.4.2 that corrupted the cache. Just went back to poetry 1.4.2 and tried to reproduce the cache corruption without any luck. Cannot reproduce it in the poetry 1.5.1 either.
@clintonroy if you don't want any bug reports for corrupt poetry caches (sounded like that in your answer) you should add a make-sure-to-clear-cache instruction to the bug template. But as a bug: the severity of poetry lock silently fails to include files doesn't change if the issue originates from the cache or not.
Thanks for the support, clearing the cache made poetry usable again. Hopefully this won't sneak up on me again.
So I have a theory: I had the exact same problem with orjson. They released v0.9.1 on June 9th – but not all wheels at once. According to PyPI, Windows and macOS wheels were published at 16:24:06 and all the Linux wheels at 17:08:08. My theory is that both you, @Jim-Holmstroem, and I ran poetry update some time between 16:24:06 and 17:08:07. v0.9.1 was the latest version, but only Windows and macOS wheels available – this snapshot was correctly cached by Poetry.
That sounds reasonable, great find @severinsimmler :D Hahaha, what a fluke!
I've had this happen before as well (packages uploading wheels well after the first release). It's not as uncommon as you might think (for example a lot of packages went back and added Python 3.11 wheels for past releases after Python 3.11 was released). Itd be nice if Poetry had some way to ask it to smartly check and add new packages to the cache rather than having to remove the whole thing.
The problem scales rough too as you might have a team of devs with all slightly differently invalid caches, resulting in the lockfile thrashing back and forth a bit.
I just raised the same thing in #8295,
Do you think the summary/op could be updated with some more specific detail?
