Project Website
Is there a website for this project? If not, will you make it?
It's pretty simple these days:
- Create a repo named
pystardust.github.io
- Go to Repo Settings
- Scroll down to
Github Pages
section - Select
Choose Theme
- Copy-paste the contents of your main branch's
README.md
toindex.md
in the newly createdgh-pages
branch - Customize layout elements to suit your repo (set download links, etc.)
If you don't want to or can't invest too much time into this, then I can do it. I want to contribute more but since I can't code sh
very well, I can at least do this simple thing :3
I think if you just do steps 2-4 (for both this repo and pystardust.github.io
) then I can fork the gh-pages
branch, do the rest, then make a pull request if you want.
second this!

I go for https://starship.rs clone
@westofer Nice. You already made a site? I was hoping I could contribute most of it tho... 😅
As for the theme, I would prefer something that Github offers in the theme chooser for easy maintenance and modification, but I can work with anything Jekyll or Hugo, as long as it's well-documented.
You already made a site?
nope :P just changed the logo/images and text on starship's website
Also github pages without jekyll or hugo sounds good too

Oh haha. Marvelous. I get to work on it then? 😁

Uh... I meant with Jekyll/Hugo. Those make life a lot easier... 😅

I think so if pystardust doesn't mind
the current plan is to create it under https://github.com/ytfzf/ytfzf.github.io so we have https://ytfzf.github.io domain

Of course! you need not to ask

That's great. Many projects do this, and it'll give us a clean domain.
I see that the repo has been made and the site is up. So I suppose we're going to work on the main branch on that repo?
Any choice of themes from these Hugo: 1, 2 or Jekyll themes?
PS: pls choose a Free theme, and hopefully not too fancy :3 Loading time and modification difficulty matters... 😅

I like the built-in Cayman theme that Github offers :3
Simple and elegant.
@pystardust When you get time, please have a look at the theme pages I linked and take a pick. :3
@cybarspace the starfish clone looks really neat, I looked at the theme page there are many good ones. But Im not really good with picking themes, you guys can have a poll, maybe in the discord group and take everyones opinion.
@pystardust Ok. I'll join the Discord chat first. We can pick out a theme then.
On that note, @westofer is the starship site based on a free theme we can use?
https://github.com/starship/starship/tree/master/docs it uses vue press, yeah it is free

Oh my... I can't use JS... Sorry. I guess someone else has to do it, or we need to look for similar themes for Hugo/Jekyll. Let's move the discussion to Discord.
Edit: ig I could use Vue Press too. I just really dislike JS for some reason. We can certainly go with the Starship theme. Let's pick a few more themes and make a poll.
