maintain location of View Title and length of line when using 'Move Selected Viewports To Selected Sheet'

Open RevitIRL opened this issue 5 years ago • 4 comments

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. A lot of the busy-work of moving a detail to another sheet is related to the positioning (and sizing) of the View Title. The current add-in keeps the position and type of the Viewport (definitely helpful), but the position of title and length of line revert to default (checked on 2017.2).

Describe the solution you'd like Position the View Title and set the length of line to match the original location. Hopefully the API allows this...

Describe alternatives you've considered n/a

Additional context n/a

Revit API does not allow setting the location and end points for the view title as of yet.

FYI, I found the related Idea (and voted) here: Open up View title in Revit API.

I also added it to the list of Known Change Requests – Community Tracking for the API.

the idea has been implemented in Revit 2022 - woo hoo! Of course, it will be years until most of our projects can use it, but just wondering if you could re-open this feature request? "Reorder Selected Viewport" could also benefit from the new API. - thanks!
