Revit 2021.1.6 hotfix requires uninstall of pyRevit.

Revit2021.1.5 running pyRevit 4.8.8 works fine I ran the 2021.1.6 hotfix for Revit, now when attempting to launch Revit, it crashes to the desktop after the splashscreen. Uninstall pyRevit and Revit works fine. I also tried installing the 4.8.9 and it also crashes. NOTE: on uninstall, there is an additional issue with updating the environment path variable. journal.0057.txt I have multiple users uninstalling pyRevit now as the only solution to enable running latest hotfixes.

Which 4.8.9? I am not able to reproduce on my machine.

Neither am I. I just upgraded yesterday and tested. I'm releasing 4.8.10 today so we can test that as well

I tried both 4.8.9 signed and unsigned. I installed both as user and by "run as admin". If I disable the addin file, then Revit launches fine. If the addin is enabled, Revit launches, displays the primary window, overlays the splashscreen and then disappears. If I uninstall pyRevit from the control panel, Revit launches fine. I just downloaded and installed: pyRevit_4.8.10.22040_admin_signed and installed it....same behavior. I tried removing all addin files/folders except pyRevit and it still crashes to the desktop after the splashscreen display. I can't see anything out of the ordinary in the journal. I have numerous teammates running 4.8.5, 4.8.8 that are now crashing to the desktop after installing the latest service packs for 2019.2.5, 2020.2.7, 2021.1.6, 2022.1.2. Here's the kicker, 2018.3.3 also crashes if pyRevit is installed, even though no new service pack has been issued for months. We've had to uninstall pyRevit to keep our teammates working in Revit.
