pyproject.toml file don't mention anything about the compatible platforms allowed by Wheel?

I couldn't find information about compatibility with platforms, such as whether it is suitable for Linux or Windows.

The only mention of determining the system platform is in setup.py.

Does it mean that when packaging into a wheel, I need to manually open it as a zip and add it by editing the metadata?
