I haven't used Evernote in ages! What this package really needs is a new maintainer who will rewrite this to remove the dependence on Ruby. It should be possible to build this whole client in Elisp.

Sad to see this news. Thanks for the time you invested over the years, @pymander. Cheers, @madorian. This was working for me years ago. I just installed on a new box, and now am blocked by #25. I also think the way to move it forward is to rewrite the client in Elisp. So many project ideas, so little time…
