Is pyenv-virtualenv dead?
Only two issues have been closed this year (self-closed), and no commits to master have been made since late 2019. There is also a backlog of PRs from this year (and earlier) that haven't been merged or commented on. This makes me concerned that this project isn't being maintained anymore --- can anyone confirm/deny this? And, if this isn't actively maintained, is there a replacement that people are flocking to instead?
You and me both...
Ditto, unfortunately.
I have only been working with this for only a few days as I set up an environment for another project (Standard Ebooks). Their toolset uses Python for just about everything and I had mistakenly pip install-ed outside of a virtualenv.
Coming from rbenv, I would expect this switching to happen automatically as the init is in my .zshrc. However, this shows up when I activate:
It's (still) funny because it's true.
If you're interested in something to be done, why not request privileges for the project like I did? Then you'll be able to do that without waiting for anyone.
I don't use Pyenv-Virtualenv and am not interested in maintaining it. Plus, with the amount of time I can donate now, I have my hands full with just the base Pyenv.
So I'm all for some more invested fellow to take up the task.
