How to change the highlight of comments or quotes

Giving this theme a run and for most things, it looks quite good. However, there are a couple places where I would like to adjust it but am not sure what needs to be changed (my vim knowledge is a step above beginner at best)

In the screenshot here, I would like to change the foreground and background of the areas which are solid blue (background) namely in commented lines and double quote character

In both of these cases, I would like to background to match the default background and just change the foreground color

Thats weird since what you describe as expected behaviour is actually how the theme should work. eg:

Are there any other themes, color options, etc. that could modify/override the theme colors? Can you try with a clean init.vim file?
