Unable to fully activate AD Account
Describe the bug When a user with a user name that contains a period, tries to activate an account, the activation appears to work but the user is never prompted to change the password or set his questions.
To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:
-
Create a new user in Microsoft Active Directory
-
When prompted to enter a user name, enter firstname.lastname (proceed to finish creating the account)
-
Go to the PWM Web UI
-
Click Activate Account
-
Enter firstname.lastname as the username and proceed to click through the dialogue
-
Check your e-mail for the activation code
-
Copy and paste the activation code
-
Proceed to click through the dialogue to activate the account
-
After the account is activated, you are redirected to the PWM home and you are not asked to change the password
-
Repeat from step 1 except change the username to firstnamelastname (omitting the period) and you will be prompted to change the password right after the account is successfully activated.
Expected behavior Right after you have successfully activated the account, you should be presented with a dialogue to change the password.
Desktop (please complete the following information):
- OS: OS X Mac 10.15.4
- Browser Firefox 76.0.1 64-bit
- Version PWM Version | v2.0.0-SNAPSHOT b0 r0
Additional context Just for observation purposes: Using firstname.lastname, I tested the account and it was able to authenticate. I just could not complete the activation process until I removed the period.
