[BUG] Publish your PWA to stores > Windows > Test package > Download does not work

Open zehawki opened this issue 2 years ago • 4 comments

What happened?

Downloading test package for Windows does not work. Gives the error: Uncaught (in promise) DOMException: The request is not allowed by the user agent or the platform in the current context.

Tried with my PWA and https://webboard.app. Both Chrome and Edge.

How do we reproduce the behavior?

  1. Go to https://www.pwabuilder.com/publish?site=https://webboard.app
  2. Reach the step "Publish your PWA to stores"
  3. Click on Windows > Test package
  4. Get the download modal, click on "Download". Nothing happens
  5. See console for error.

What do you expect to happen?

No response

What environment were you using?

OS: Windows 10 Browser: Chrome and Edge

Chrome incognito. Download button clicked 5 times, error message 5 times.

@zehawki Hello edge, chrome and incognito has been tried to reproduce this issue. Have you tried clearing the cache?

Sure, cache has been cleared. Incognito has been tried. Its the same result each time. image

Are you starting from the homepage first instead of the report card page? Also can you post your PWA site link? I have tested the site and windows server and have been able to download

Yes I'm starting from the homepage.

I see new behavior now: Edge and Chrome - clicking download, just exits the popup. There is nothing in the console unlike the error message earlier.

Brave is actually working! I am able to download the test package for the demo URL, as well as my trial PWA: https://demo1.maincross.org?pwa=true
