checkbox in the configuration: "disable list when not in focus"

in Lubuntu 20.10: click on the panel on the Qlipper-icon; if no entry of the list will be selected, the list of Qlipper does not want to go away as long as Qlipper-icon will be clicked again or Ctrl+Alt+V or Esc will be pressed; same when Ctrl+Alt+V is pressed: if no entry of the list will be selected, the list of Qlipper does not want to go away as long Ctrl+Alt+V or Esc will be pressed

CONTEXT a) other tools work different (you can see it better when the desktop is visible): click on the panel on the connections or on the notifications: the list will appear; then click somewhere else, like for example on the desktop: the list will disappear; you will find the same behavior for the clock on the panel

b) it can create confusion: open LibreOffice and maximize the window, then click on Qlipper-icon in the panel: the list of Qlipper appears; now let it be supposed you don’t find something in the list to select, or you decide suddenly not to paste something; now click in LibreOffice: the list of Qlipper seems to have disappeared; but in fact the list is still there, hidden behind LibreOffice; so now, if you click on Qlipper-icon in the panel to see the list, the list will not appear (because it will disappear), so you have to click on the Qlipper-icon again to let appear the list

POSSIBLE SOLUTION maybe it would be good to offer in the configuration a checkbox with this kind of text: "disable list when not in focus"; I suggest the checkbox should be activated by default

I confirm this bug. I'm far from programming, but I see that there is a certain oddity here with calling the Qlipper drop-down menu from the tray icon. I see that instead of a menu, a window is shown as a drop-down menu, it even shows up in the taskbar (kde), it switches focus to itself, and it doesn't close when it loses focus. I don’t know why this was done, but this is ugly and inconvenient behavior for me. Can I expect a fix or at least the ability to customize this behavior?
