trackers changed place everytime i take quest 2 off

Open Friskyweed opened this issue 3 years ago • 5 comments

so i just got a quest 2 with link and everything worked fine until i take my vr off. it makes my trackers change position and i need to re-calibrate to fix it. this is really annoying in games like vrchat and i was wondering if anyone knows a fix for it. thanks

If you're using VRDT or ALVR make sure it's set to Stage/Room centered tracking

I have the same problem. I'm not using VRDT or ALVR, just oculus link and a USB 3 cable. I dont see any setting for Stage/Room, apart from when setting up the guardian, and it's set up for standing/room scale...

It seems like steam thinks the quest is set up for seated play, even though it's not.

Every time I take off the quest, the "forward" direction changes and it messes up the calibration...

This issue occurs because the Quest 2 goes to sleep every time you take it off. I fixed this issue by changing the time it takes the Quest 2 to go to sleep to the maximum (I think it's 15 minutes). Now the headset won't go to sleep and won't reset the forward direction. Hope this helps.

Also make sure your quest can see your controllers when it's off your head - that plus disabling the sleep features helped me out a bunch.

Also we can probably close this issue as essentially #30 - that feature would solve the issues like this one.
