@s3bk ah, I thought there might be a minimal set of functionality that most modern applications use out off of freetype that can be exposed via some shim to use...
i just pasted [this](https://gist.githubusercontent.com/nunuhara/6a4d904b6bcd160019dc012930ddbf8f/raw/bfb7f0a6a4f59c839f4fa8632558956a28d3635f/freetype-config) into my /usr/bin/font-config and was able to successfully build
@tsvetie I really wish sidekick were an open source project too cause l would have contributed that and a lot more ui enhancements l have in mind
hmm i see, i'll try to investigate this soon
