Chat lost when page refreshed or changed

Currently a user can actively communicate with the agent in the customer support live chat tutorial. However, there is no way for the user to have their communication persisted if they move on to another page or refresh the page. Same applies if they return to the chat application after several days. Would it be possible to put this in the pipeline?
