MRU does not stick
First of all, thanks for sharing this, it's almost perfect.
I assume that MRU order is intended. It works great if you only hit "tab" once and switch to the last used app, but if you switch to the app used before the last (3rd position) or farther, when the list is no longer in MRU order. Sometimes the 4th and 5th app swap positions when neither of them have been activated, sometimes it's the 3rd and 4th...
@juneyao, I will look into your issue, MRU order is the default, but can be adjusted with Alt + 1-5. Is the a systematic problem or do you see it only occasionally?
its systematic. lets say we have 6 windows, initially as: ABCDEF. by repeatedly doing: {alt down}{tab}{tab}{altup} one should get this: CABDEF, BCADEF, ABCDEF.... and so on
That is, DEF should never change position.
Try it. it does not work
Also, there is another thing i noticed not working as desirable (as the default windows alttab or even vistaswitcher does): when you are, let us say firefox, and then you show desktop (Win D or taskbar right end button) for grabbing a file, you should only need to hit Alt tab once to get back to firefox and drag the file there. This does not work Actually, by hitting Alt D, all windows are listed as min. I think this probably should not be the right behavior.
I am looking for an alternative to vista switcher because it randomly sends windows to the bottom of the list and because it does not support Win 8 +
