I was expecting the editor to retain change history.

YAML Formatting

During editing, I commented out configs I wanted to retain and the editor truncates commented objects to null and auto-deletes the lines. This behavior is unexpected.

Can you add a redacted version of the config you were trying to save and the after so we can troubleshoot? We do our best to retain comments but there are scenarios where it is difficult.
