Feature Request: Add searchable “Best Practices” coverage across Pulumi Cloud products (similar to IDP Best Practices page)
LLMs (like Claude Code) frequently performs targeted web searches such as:
Web Search("GitHub dependabot.yml configuration best practices 2025")
These searches work well only when a clear, centralized “best practices” document exists. Today, we have this for Pulumi IDP:
…but we do NOT have equivalent best-practice docs for many other Pulumi Cloud capabilities (ESC, Deployments, Secrets, Policies, Insights, etc.).
As a result, AI agents fall back to generic internet queries instead of authoritative Pulumi content.
Problem
- Users ask Neo or Claude for guidance (e.g., “best practices for Pulumi Deployments in production,” “how to structure ESC environments,” etc.)
- Because we don’t expose official product best-practice docs, the AI:
- Uses generic web search queries
- Pulls answers from GitHub, Reddit, StackOverflow, Medium, etc.
- Produces inconsistent or non-Pulumi-aligned guidance
- This also makes Pulumi look like it lacks recommended patterns unless someone already knows where to dig.
Why This Matters
- Gives us a single source of truth instead of tribal knowledge scattered across Slack, Notion, customer calls, PUG talks, etc.
- Allows Neo to answer with Pulumi-approved content, not random blog posts
- Improves first-run experience for both AI-assisted workflows and human docs visitors
- Supports field / sales / SE conversations (people keep asking for this)
