Based on this issue https://github.com/the-djmaze/snappymail/issues/1577
this appears to be an interaction with Full Text Search, specifically the "Navigational Symbol" option that adds/removes the fulltext search icon to the navigation bar.
I could work around this by disabeling that option, and even after reenabeling it the Memories link still appears to function as expected (for now), but I'm unsure where the core issue lies since most apps aren't affected.
I will file a separate issue on the Full Text Search repo and will link their findings, but am unsure whether this can be closed or might require further work on both sides.
Issue is already present, this appears to be a more common problem than i thought, I just wasn't looking in the right places. Link to issue: https://github.com/nextcloud/fulltextsearch/issues/842
Man you just saved my sanity! I have wasted an entire day thinking there was something wrong with my install. I even went so far as to nuke the entire thing and start fresh only to have this happen again.
I manually went to /apps/memories/ and it loaded right up... After trying that I can confirm that disabling the fulltextsearch icon did fix the issue.
I've just created a nextcloud server last week so im new to this. I heard good things about the memories app but when i installed it this exact situation was what i had also. So ive spent the last week thinking people are over hyping the memories app cause to me it was nothing special..... UNTIL i realised i was never actually in the memories app. Now 7 days days later i've just learnt to go to the apps/memories address and i can now see what people were talking about lol
thanks, will also have a go at turning off the icon for full text search ( which doesnt seem to work for me either) :)
