Issues to fix
-
[ ] (Windows only) The Application Menu is not mouse over like menus in windows... you need to click them to open the list of hierarchical menus when that should automatically happen just mousing over it.
-
[ ] The Sidebar is not floating so it takes the space of background page when open some panel and so the background site resize to fit the smaller space... the Sidebar and Panels should be float that is how Sidebar like Opera/Edge/Vivaldi are useful.
-
[ ] The Sidebar doesn't have auto close option... I think most Firefox users don't know how a sidebar works... when you click in the Whatapp icon in Sidebar it open the panel floating over the website you are taking around 1/3 of your screen (remember it is floating and not affecting the background site), in that time you can use the Whatsapp Web (read or send messagens) and when you change the focus (click outside the panel) the panel closes automatically and you are back to what you were reading in the background site that becomes the main view.

[ ] (Needs more info) The Vertical Tabs are better in Floorp with the extension Tree Style Tab with more options including having both Top and Vertical at same time... in Pulse the Vertical Tab is build in (experimental yet) and you can only enable or disable (enabling it disable Top Tab and you can't have both)... even so both are still a long path to reach Edge or Safari vertical tabs easy of use.

[ ] Disable more Mozilla things (Crash Reporter, Maintance Service, etc while Pulse is still more default Firefox.
Hello. It was my post there. First I wanted to give the proper congrats for the great job you are doing here.
My commens needs a bit of context I guess... we are discussing Firefox option that push features like Edge/Opera/Vivaldi does with Chromium and I'm for some months tyring to find alternatives but FF alternatives forks are all in the opposite path. That search we found two browsers Pulse and Floorp and in that conext I give my two cents related to a sidebar like Edge/Opera/Vivaldi (somehting that doesn't exists in Firefox even via extension).
The Application Menu is that one with three little bars on the top right of the browser... I don't remember if FF is like that but having to click in each option to "open" it is weird and not windows like where you just move over with your mouse to open options.
Siderbar in Edge/Opera/Vivaldi/Others are floating over the pages and have auto close features, plus there are options to choose Mobile or Desktop site and fix the width per panel. Another think is that I could not make the Sidebar be on right (to have the sidebar on opposite side of the vertical tabs)... I find a very hidden option to put the Panels of the Sidebar on right but the own sidebar continued on left... it was very weird :D cliking in the sidebar button on left and opening a panel on right with the content.
Vertical Tabs I did not tested that much but in a comparisin between both Pulse and Floorp I found more options in Floorp that uses an extension called Tree Style Tab... I give an example that the UI you can choose to put have the Top Tab bar together with the Vertical list on the side something that is missing in Pulse but I saw it is an experimental feature.
I hope these can help you guys but it is cleary more focused in my personal use. The Sidebar part is really not useful to me in the state it is right now.
I was thinking in learn and try to help to build something like the Sidebar on chromium browsers because it is really lacking in Firefox and forks.
I aprreciate the attention... really thanks.
.. I don't remember if FF is like that

It is https://truffle.signed.host/AiuJH.gif I'm used to Windows like menus that open when you move the mouse cursor over it. It is not a deal breaker... just weird imo :D
A floating sidebar would be really nice
