Users noted that these projects support it already:

I suppose there should be a connection for each folder of an account. Contributors welcome.

Any plans for this? I generally like mailnag but I absolutely must have IMAP IDLE for my notifier.

Unfortunately I'm very short of spare time, so unless noone else steps up to this task, this will take... a while.
