@bazcurtis can you upload diagnostics for the device after the update?
The Sonoff E dongle uses a different firmware than the the CC2562. Have you tried the Sonoff E? Or just the Sonoff P, which has the same chip?

Zigbee groups are made up of Zigbee endpoints, not devices. A single device can have multiple endpoints.
