Archlinux is enablig this OOB: https://github.com/archlinux/linux/commit/725a838e59cc2456fe484583b563705351ccad2e Since its handled directly via the kernel, we could remove it from that config. Were following archlinux there.
> Got hit by this since update in NixOS just hit... https://gitlab.archlinux.org/archlinux/packaging/packages/nvidia-utils/-/merge_requests/22 That is how we handle it now in archlinux. Its not sexy, but works!
If -ffunctions and -fdata-sections is passed, should be not also --gc-sections passed to the linker?
https://github.com/CachyOS/CachyOS-PKGBUILDS/commit/fba5be62a44b559bedf8209d0506a9611e04adc9 Has been split out here, but we need to coordinate this together with a cachyos-hello update.
Tested this so far on my system. No issues found. Installation testing with ZFS/bcachefs and each also encrypted pending.
Added python-vllm package from the AUR. python-vllm-cuda package pending
For the modules its handled here: https://github.com/CachyOS/linux-cachyos/blob/master/linux-cachyos/PKGBUILD#L613
