No generic password keychain items found

Hi There,

This is Sameer, Pentester. Unable to dump the keychain data using keychain dumper as it always ends by saying No generic password keychain items found.

Device: iPhone 7 OS version: iOS 11.2.6 Jailbreak: Electra

It appears to be that the iPhone needs to be password protected in order for the Keychain-dumper to work

Indeed that is something I also stumbled upon today. The phone must be protected with a Passcode, no matter how (in)secure. Otherwise no generic passwords will be printed out. I will try to chase down the origin of the issue, once I find some time.

How does this manifest itself? In looking at https://github.com/ptoomey3/Keychain-Dumper/issues/46 I stumbled on kSecAttrAccessibleWhenPasscodeSetThisDeviceOnly . I wonder if there is a chance the tool is behaving badly for all keychain items if we hit an entry with that protection class or something (seems unlikely..but it does seems like kSecAttrAccessibleWhenPasscodeSetThisDeviceOnly pretty well matches up with the "passcode required" bit noted in this thread.

I have the same issue on an iPhone 7 running iOS 13.6.1. The iPhone has a passcode.
