Call of Juarez - crash on new game

Open DummyPayload opened this issue 1 year ago • 0 comments

Followup to Issue on compatibility list

  1. Game seems to be 32-bit only - so box86 will be relevant here file CoJ.exe CoJ.exe: MS-DOS executable PE32 executable (GUI) Intel 80386, for MS Windows, MZ for MS-DOS

  2. After update of box86 and box64 i was able to run the game and it gave an error about non compatible DX, but after reinstalling in clean win32 i was able to get into menu. Unfortunately game still fails when i try to start a new game (after loading just after hitting any key to get into a game) game crashes with following log output:

Start monitoring process.
wineserver: using server-side synchronization.
wine: RLIMIT_NICE is <= 20, unable to use setpriority safely
wine: configuration in L"/home/markon/Games/GOG/Call of Juarez" has been updated.
