[WowBox64] Overcooked 2 can not select level when continue game

Open Art-Chen opened this issue 6 months ago • 8 comments

It looks normal if direct to run wine x64 by box64 so it should be wow64 specific bug.

How to reproduce

Run Overcooked2 - New Game - Pass the tutorial and play until level 1-2, press esc and quit, then choose continue on the main menu, the car appeared on the sky then drop to the level flag, level info will never show and can not enter the game.

normally it should be directly appeared on the level flag and the level info will be show if we're on the flag.

I don't understand: Overcook 2 is a Unity3d 64bits games, and you have a different behaviour if you use the regular wine version vs the wine+wow64 one? But, as a 64bits game, it should not mater if the wine with wow64 or not is used. Is it the same version? How are you actually testing and on what hardware?

Sorry for my unclear expression.

<Overcooked 2> is a 32-bit Windows Unity Game (maybe Linux version is 64bit? idk, but i need Windows version), the newer <Overcooked: All you can eat> is 64-bit. they are different.

Is it the same version? How are you actually testing and on what hardware?

I'm testing different with "wine arm64 + wowbox64.dll" vs "wine x86_64 + box64" and it's on Android Device with a Snapdragon SoC

I have the game on Steam, and it's a Linux version there (and it works fine btw).

So, the issue is with wine+wowbox64 or with box64+wine?

The issue is with wine+wowbox64.

I'm running Windows version Steam on the wine arm64, and testing Windows version Overcooked 2.

According to https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Overcooked!_2, it's a 64-bit game on Windows (search for 64-bit).

But actually i downloaded 32bit on the Windows Steam

drive_c/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/Overcooked! 2 #
file Overcooked2.exe
Overcooked2.exe: MS PE32 executable (GUI) x86

just the newer version Overcooked AYCE is 64bit

drive_c/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/Overcooked! All You Can Eat # file Over
Overcooked All You Can Eat.exe Overcooked All You Can Eat_Data/
an Eat # file Overcooked\ All\ You\ Can\ Eat.exe
Overcooked All You Can Eat.exe: MS PE32+ executable (GUI) x86-64

So I tried the 32-bit Windows version of this game, and the game itself seems to be working fine, but I kept getting this error:

error window

And every time this pops up, the game itself loses focus, making it unplayable, so there are indeed some issues in WowBox64.

Box64 + x86 Wine works flawlessly, tho.

I didn't met this issue.

but the car has invalid position issue reproduced almost every time, only 1-2 times normally.
