Where does 2.39 stores config?
Hi, i tried to restore my backup of net.limechat.LimeChat.plist to ~/Library/Preferences/ after fresh 2.39 install, but it didn't worked. I was on Lion before (Mavericks now) so i think that i was using 2.38? Is it possible that you changed the path to config file?
The strange thing is that the first install i entered any random nick, then closed and tried to restore the settings but it didn't worked. After that, i removed LimeChat with AppZapper (which removes all related files to an app, config files, cache files, etc.) and then reinstalled and it started with the first config (random nickname, etc.).
How can i restore my saved settings? Thanks.
No the path should be the same . As for your settings, Did you make a Time Machine backup? I'd say dig through there
You should be able to find preferences file in the following path.
Web download: ~/Library/Preferences/net.limechat.LimeChat.plist AppStore: ~/Library/Preferences/net.limechat.LimeChat-AppStore.plist
@alejandroiglesias @psychs I noticed this when moving to a clean install of Mavericks today. By sorting my documents by Date Modified I discovered that Limechat was included in ~/Library/Preferences/ByHost/com.apple.loginwindow.
Rebooting before launching LimeChat fixed the problem for me.
I had a similar problem and rebooting solved it ... mostly.
The remaining problem is that the Server Properties dialog won't store my Nickserv password. I can login with /msg NickServ identify password but not with the stored password. Judging from the dots in the password field the password reverts to a shorter password (the same length as Server Password). Could this have anything to do with password encryption in the plist?
Strangely, the problem persists even when I create a new server and enter all the server details again.
Thanks for the detail information. I think I fixed the problem you have in c80a5048bbd8f770acbb69b847b1f65519778afb. Can you try 2.41?
Very nice! That solves the problem. Thanks for the quick response, and for the excellent LimeChat.
@psychs , thanks for the excellent LimeChat.
Is it possible to convert the config file from web download one to App Store one? Thanks.
