Pavlovia: automatic participant numbering

Hello,

I see one drawback with regards to participants numbers when running an online-experiment. At the moment, a participant may choose, more or less, any kind of number or identification. I wonder whether it would be possible to assign automatically a unique number to each participant which follows some logic I devise? I am not using an recruitment service and do not intend to use one. I know of the app but think that this should be an option in pavlovia.

OK, yes I think most people either use a recruitment service or they program the participant ID into the invitation URL (e.g. mail merge) so that they can identify the participant through their own lookup key. It would certainly be possible for this to be done by Pavlovia, but not probably a priority right now given the workarounds available.

(I'll move this to the list for PsychoJS rather than PsychoPy because it doesn't make sense at the Python app I don't think)
