Odd non-existing default versions shown in graph
The graph for package gatenlp shows versions which do not exist:
https://pepy.tech/project/gatenlp
There is no 3.x version at all for that package and both pystats and pypi correctly show the versions that actually exist:
- https://pypistats.org/packages/gatenlp
It is possible that the confusion arises because there was a different previous project with that name which has now be renamed. Apparently pypi and pystats correctly deal with this while pepy does not.
This also seems to cause incorrect numbers to be shown - the total download numbers are very different from what pypi stats are showing.
Mmm good point 👍 when I wrote pepy people wasn't able to change package names. I will take a look into this
Is there any chance to get rid of that now invalid data from a previous project in pepy? I do like the pepy stats much better than pipystats, but until this is fixed, it is really not possible to properly use it.
It is a pity that after a more than a year, this is still broken. Pypistats does the right thing there, by looking at the most recent versions, not the ones which sort highest.
I know! But I'm always open to pull requests :-)
