Some Options Not Working

I can use all of the positional arguments (if I disable authentication) but not all of the options. -D, -H, -P, and -p all return "error: the following arguments are required: command". Since I'd rather not disable authentication I have tried all sorts of syntax to change the port and password but nothing is working.
