[ISSUE][SLUS_211.39]: GUN freezing a lot

Describe the issue
Using the last beta 2009, I could debug using ingame elf and got this debug on prompt, the game freezes in certains parts and randomly

The game freezes a lot, at some parts and sometimes randomly
Tested with USA version: SLUS_211.39
I tested with usb, but there some reports that freezes with eth and hdd too
This is the easiest to reproduce crash. Here's the savedata: https://pixeldrain.com/u/UPgf4hEz Instructions to reproduce the crash: Talk to Clay, get on the horse, follow him... It is almost constant (and if it does not crashes, just wait until the cinematic ends after you reach Clay on the horse and done, it will crash)

Edit 2: If you go past Clay, it crashes, else, it does not. Still, this is the best way to trigger the crash and spot what might be wrong.

OPL Beta 1.2.0 2016 SMB - freezes on black screen (ISO & ZSO)
My PS2 model is SCPH-90008. Compatibility modes do not help. I use redump images and don't use PADEMU, VMC, GSM.

@10522 GUN probably will never work in SMB due to memory limitiations, only USB have some hope

By the way, in this report, I forgot to mention that after a black screen, a strange sound appears and after a few seconds it disappears. But in new versions of OPL this sound no longer appears. Also, if you turn on all compatibility modes and run this game in ZSO, you can see a very funny glitch.
It needs mode 2+3+5+6
For the game to work or for the glitch @10522 mentioned?
@AKuHAK, @Phantasm90, these compatibility modes do not fix the game or cause a glitch. This game still freezes on a black screen like in this video.
Anyone has any idea when this bug started? I remember a long time ago even long before 1.0 version I finished this game using OPL without any problems
@hugogacia360, can you check these OPL versions using this instruction? If you find a version that does not have this issue, then I can find out the exact build that started this issue.

The link you provided is not working, but I think you be very hard to find the exact version which the bug started. I've beaten this like using OPL but this was like back in 2017 or 2018 a long time ago

Okay this may take a while until I have time to play and get to the part where the bug happens. Do you know if this part is very far ?
just a hour or two where u have to talk to clay and ride on horse. plz play it as soon u can i am also facing this issue. Also what version u use to play without any problems
@hugogacia360, @robinsharma619, using this instruction you will need only a few minutes to reproduce this issue.
even on latest beta as of this writing (2123-72cb5af) the issue is still present black screens seemingly at random when it tries to load a cutscene or something tried 0.9.3 just in case and that black screens even faster same behavior its the same thing on SMB and HDD
