Hi, The Ace Combat 5 still have problems to play music in the Briefing scene using a USB in FAT32, im not completely sure about the missions but so far its working properly (update some missions crash after the briefing is finished)

Ace Combat 5 The Unsung War [SLUS_208.51]:

OPL Stable 1.1.0 SMB - no music in the Briefing scene and if you load from this save and skip all FMVs, you will get a black screen

OPL Beta 1.2.0 2012 SMB - black screen on startup

Also here they write that this game works perfectly on OPL 0.9.2

My PS2 model is SCPH-90008. Compatibility modes do not help. I use redump images and don't use PADEMU, VMC, GSM.

OPL Beta 1.2.0 2016 SMB ISO - no music in the Briefing scene and if you don't skip all FMVs, then there will be no black screen OPL Beta 1.2.0 2016 SMB ISO (Mode 4) - after all FMVs, it freezes on a flashing screen on a blue background OPL Beta 1.2.0 2016 SMB ZSO - black screen on startup

Update 2024: yeah Ace combat 5: Unsung War USA ver work well on the OPL 0.9.2. I'm currently on mission 11 right now same with cheat on. I guess in order to finish this game you need to use this older version of OPL

Update 30 July 2024: Now I can't get the game with cheat device on running again. I use my old method which using old OPL (0.9.2). When I boot up the game, it only show black screen no sounds or screen or anything seems like it freezing. Haven't try other versions of OPL with cheat on yet but I will leave an update later

Update: nvm you can actually use cheat device with OPL version 0.9.2 .. but don't put so many cheat or else the game won't boot. I use infinite ammo/special weapon and unlock all aircraft only. So far I haven't got any problems with it yet (I also skip all the cutscenes and briefing so I don't randomly got freezing)
