MX4SIO
Context and extra information
No response
I am not sure if I understand.
You have a problem with a normal memory card & VMC or with MX4SIO? Or maybe the problem starts when you turn on MX4SIO?
I have never seen OPL in version 1.1.1.0.7
or 1.1.0.7
.
hello, I have the same problem, by usb everything works fine, but by mx4sio, vmc bug and opl settings. settings were fixed by copying usb configuration files to mc0, but vmc's fragment, vmc on usb and games on mx4sio don't work too, and doesn't recognize the physical mc0 for saves. Google tradutor, i'm braziliam.
Same:
- Saving after MX4SIO is on freezes console
- Memory card can't be detected when playing from MX4SIO
- Trying to save when MX4SIO is on not only freezes console but wipes out entire OPL configuration except internet settings
- Only manual configuration for MX4SIO with integrated in wLE text editor works.
i have the same problem
I tried on 30004 R and 70004 model. It probably happens on all models, I tried on opl 1.2. Sometimes the console freezes when starting the game. I really don't know what to do.
I think that MX4SIO driver changes config of the same peripheral (SPI) that is used to connect to MMC. Since this, it's no longer compatible. You can set the BDM driver to manual startup, to be able to save config to MMC before the driver loads..
Confirming bug report, I improved my set by replacing the China MC for a MagicGate and downgraded back to 1629 BDM3. (Most of my games work via MX4SIO now; Need to use USB for some games; Still some do not work at all)

Hi, just wanted to know, using 1629 BDM3 build let's me use physical MC to load/save games, but I cannot use VMCs. The creation of them takes forever and when a game launches it freezes.
Also, the fix, workaround or whatever the 1629 BDM3 build has to be able to use physical MCs is not yet on latest official builds and betas, am I right? Is there a reason for this?
Thanks!
