Describe the issue

I am turning to you to report a problem encountered with my Sony PVM-9020ME monitor. When using it with a PlayStation 2 console, I noticed that the game image and the PSBBN (PlayStation Broadband Navigator) splash screen appear in black and white, rather than color.

I have already verified that the video cables are correctly connected and working, and that the console is set up correctly. Furthermore, by connecting the same PS2 to other monitors or televisions, the image is regularly reproduced in color, so the problem seems to be linked to the PVM-9020ME.

Console model

3004

OPL version / revision

opl stable

This is obviously not OPL problem, so I do not understand why it is here?!

Anyway if you have w\uLaunchELF try: O : FileBrowser -> MISC/ -> Screen Settings... -> TV mode: Image Change it to PAL or NTSC. If you will have a color image on any of these modes it means that your TV does not support one of these modes.

In OPL: Display Settings -> Video Mode: Image Change it to PAL \ PAL 640x512i 50Hz 24bit or NTSC \ NTSC 640x448i 60Hz 24bit -> OK If you will have a color image on any of these modes it means that your TV does not support one of these modes.

Another question are you using composite cables? Image If yes, try component or SCART cables.

EDIT: I forgot that this TV has BNC type connectors: Image https://archive.org/details/manual_PVM9020ME_SM_SONY/page/n5/mode/2up.

@Linkhman please close this issue as it is not an OPL issue.
