[ISSUE]: POPStarter SMB not working on latest version
Checks
- [x] I have checked existing OPL issues for duplicates and found none
- [x] I am using either OPL latest stable version, or archived version or OPL beta version
Describe the issue
Using OPL 1.1.0 POPStarter works, but using the latest .ELF (OPNPS2LD-v1.2.0-Beta-2213-026b9f4) makes OPL freeze at "Loading Config..." when trying to open a game after selecting it. IDK if I have to modify the POPS configuration for this new version, since documentation on using POPStarter through SMB is poor and outdated (there are even dead links on the PSX-Place page). Haven't tested through USB.
Console model
SCPH-77004
OPL version / revision
OPL beta 1.2.0 2213

So it doesn't work if the device index is not explicitly mentioned? Odd.
OPL Beta 1.2.0 2104 (run_1660) -

Thank you, I changed it to smb0:/ to make it work
OPL 2249 here: In my case the POPSTARTER games didn't work because it couldn't find it on SMB server. The reason was because I had been using the same setup that I used for USB EXFAT.
To make it work you need to rename the ELF and edit the title.cfg like the examples below:
1. How it was:
USB Setup
ELF name: \APPS\POPS_Bushido Blade 2 (USA)\XX.Bushido Blade 2 (USA).ELF
Configuration file: \APPS\POPS_Bushido Blade 2 (USA)\title.cfg
title=Bushido Blade 2 (USA)
boot=XX.Bushido Blade 2 (USA).ELF
2. The solution to make it work with SMB:
SMB Setup
ELF name: \APPS\POPS_Bushido Blade 2 (USA)\SB.Bushido Blade 2 (USA).ELF
Configuration file: \APPS\POPS_Bushido Blade 2 (USA)\title.cfg
title=Bushido Blade 2 (USA)
boot=SB.Bushido Blade 2 (USA).ELF
After doing these steps it worked flawessly.
PS: Remember to rename your ART files with the same name as the ELF or you won't view the game covers on OPL Apps Tab.
