Would be a neat feature to be able to use OPL's crispy functions like vmc pademu etc with the disc drive as a boot method.

@ShephardB3 don't use PADEMU as it has a lot of compatibility issues. Better use BlueRetro or Wingman PS2. Also use PsxMemCard Gen2 instead of VMC.
VMC is better than any of the SD memory card solutions for now due to their failure to account for in game features when checking for save data of other games. VMCs are easy to assign to multiple games. I too wondered if this feature could be added for VMC support of disc games since some games are not OPL-compatible so I can access features from save bonuses in a disc game where I have saves stored in a VMC. Only solution for now was physical memory card.
