[ISSUE]: After updating from v1.2.0-Beta-2104 to v1.2.0-Beta-2201 HDD has trouble listing games

Describe the issue

v1.2.0-Beta-2104 - working perfectly v1.2.0-Beta-2201 - Issues with accessing the HDD

The issues vary:

• When HDD is set to start manually, sometimes the games list is loaded, and sometimes it is not. When it is not loaded, the HDD light never comes or, or maybe the initial "blib" that usually happens before the longer "reading game list" may happen but nothing more.
• When HDD is set to start on start up, so far every time OPL fails to load (stuck on splash screen with spinner), but the HDD activity light on and OPL is forever reading the disk.

I use the official Sony HDD adapter. After downgrading to v1.2.0-Beta-2104 the issue is resolved.

Can you upload 2104 somewhere? I need to verify that it works on my end ...

I finally got around to testing KrahJolito's merge candidates from December and only one showed my games list but none of them worked (2138 and 2156). To make matters worse, 2201 has no sound, cover art looks like shit (covers don't load), it loads up my games list, but none of the games work. My PS2 fan slows down to a crawl and after around 45 seconds, the black screen turns solid white.

EDIT Welp, that 2104 build freezes my PS2 right after the sound effect for mounting my GPT drive ... :(

Looks like my SATA Mod from many years back is a Bitfunx and it's choking on UDMA 6, which might explain why every recent build of OPL with Grimdoomer's fork merged will either not list the game list or not load a game at all if it does. I tested my drive with HDD Tester and it works fine all the way up to UDMA 5 but every UDMA 6 test times out.

I have the same Issue with 2201, Games initially show up but after exiting OPL and reentering settings are saved but games are not listed at all until I delete config file. Then initially games will show up again until exit. Reverting back to 2049 as recommended fixed the issue.

having the same issues with 2201, Original NA and IDE HDD, sometimes it doesnt load any games at all , even if the hdd was already on, there was one time that it even froze the whole console (loadinig icon was frozen in spinning animation and console hdd indicator was stuck on too)
