@Kartier007 try OPL Beta 1.2.0 2165.

One more issue, Does this version also save game settings? (like cheats if they are enabled?). I have to do the same thing for activating my cheats when I exit and come back to OPL.

Kartier007 avatar Nov 25 '24 19:11 Kartier007

I tried the version. It did not work! My OPL is launched from my FMCB card (which is in slot 2 (mc1)). Should I have OPL launched from my memory card (Slot 1(mc0)) instead? My PS2 model is 77001 if that helps. Please help!

@Kartier007 try OPL Beta 1.2.0 2049 and make sure you don't hold down the START button when launching OPL.

10522 avatar Nov 28 '24 00:11 10522

What will happen if I do? And will give this a try. Also, how do I put background music in my OPL settings? Could you explain what type of file it would read and where would I place it on the USB?

Kartier007 avatar Nov 29 '24 13:11 Kartier007

Have you tried that version? Did it work from your end?

Kartier007 avatar Nov 29 '24 13:11 Kartier007

O que vai acontecer se eu fizer isso? E vou tentar isso. Além disso, como coloco música de fundo nas minhas configurações do OPL? Você poderia explicar que tipo de arquivo ele leria e onde eu o colocaria no USB?

@Kartier007 If you open OPL by holding the START button, this will cause saved settings to be ignored

Para ativar a música de fundo, você precisa da música que deseja no formato .OGG e definir um caminho até esse arquivo nas configurações de áudio do OPL

Hey, The OPL version 2049 still does not work. I did not press start and the settings were still not saved. There are multiple files for that OPL version. Is there one I can run or you have another version i can try?

@Kartier007 Version 2049 is one of the most stable, so if it is not saving, the problem may be with the MemoryCard.

So we can try to change the location where the settings will be saved:

Open and configure OPL normally, but when saving the settings, remove the MemoryCard, so they will be saved on the storage device where the games are, if I'm not mistaken.

I tried that. I think I found the problem, It keeps reading on the FMCB card that is on my second slot (mc1). It does not read off my mass storage device. How do I make OPL read it off my mass (USB)?

Kartier007 avatar Dec 02 '24 02:12 Kartier007

Cause it saves to the mass like how you told me too. It’s just does not read from the usb where I saved the settings.

Kartier007 avatar Dec 02 '24 02:12 Kartier007

Are you using mc0?

Jaajees avatar Dec 02 '24 14:12 Jaajees

Yes I am using the mc0, it has my memory card plugged in. But I want to save the settings onto my mass usb. It saves but OPL is not reading the saved settings from there. It reads it on mc1.

Kartier007 avatar Dec 02 '24 14:12 Kartier007

Open OPL only with mc0 and the PenDrive connected, it will probably be able to read the confirmations in the mass

Jaajees avatar Dec 02 '24 15:12 Jaajees

But then I would have to take out my FMCB card that is in mc1. Will it still work?

Kartier007 avatar Dec 02 '24 18:12 Kartier007

Is OPL on mc0 or mc1?

Jaajees avatar Dec 02 '24 20:12 Jaajees

It’s on MC1. My memory card on mc0 is not big enough to hold OPL. So I have OPL on MC1

Kartier007 avatar Dec 02 '24 22:12 Kartier007

Start OPL only with the MemoryCard that has OPL in Slot 1, and the PenDrive

Jaajees avatar Dec 03 '24 10:12 Jaajees

Hey it worked. I had to switch the memory card and it worked. Thank you so much.

I have two questions to ask. When I edit the display settings. It only fixes the display settings on OPL correct? It does not affect the display of the games I play. (If I change the positioning of the display, it will not affect the positioning of my games when I play them). Sorry for the question being extra.

Kartier007 avatar Dec 03 '24 21:12 Kartier007

My second question is regarding the background music. I have my music file save in .OGG format and the file is under 10 MB. I saved the file on the root of my exFAT usb file so its easy to direct. (the name of the .OGG file is "K"). When I set the directory of my file. It still does not play the background music. I set it as follows: "mass:/K". So am I setting this up wrong? Please let me know!

Yes, this will only change the OPL interface, to make changes to the game screen, you can use GSM

The Path path is correct, but it may not work for two reasons: 1st. The file size may be too large. This will require more from the console. 2nd. Problems detecting the file, so I recommend creating a folder called SOUNDS in the root of the PenDrive and put the .ogg file in it.

10 MB or 10 KB?

Jaajees avatar Dec 04 '24 13:12 Jaajees

Ok. The file size is under 10MB (9.42MB) to be exact. And when I set the file path will be as follows “mass:/SOUNDS:/K”is this path correct? Let me know.

Kartier007 avatar Dec 04 '24 13:12 Kartier007

Ok. O tamanho do arquivo é menor que 10 MB (9,42 MB) para ser exato. E quando eu defino o caminho do arquivo será o seguinte “mass:/SOUNDS:/K”este caminho está correto? Me avise.

Yes, the path is correct

Jaajees avatar Dec 04 '24 15:12 Jaajees

Try reducing the size of the .ogg file to less than 2 MB

Because we have to take into account the amount of memory that is being used, both for the operation of the OPL, and for extra resources, such as game art (if they are enabled) and now the music being played

I am still not sure why it is not working. I set up all the file directory as stated. And o had saved the settings upon doing so. The background music is in .OGG and is under the name “LBP”. I placed it in the “SOUNDS” file I made which is in my USB. So I put the directory “mass:/SOUNDS:/LBP“. Nothing is working. What am I doing wrong?

Kartier007 avatar Dec 04 '24 19:12 Kartier007

É necessário colocar a extensão também

It is necessary to put the extension .ogg too

Still not working? Is it because it is on an exFAT usb? Cause that is where my .ogg file is on.
