[ISSUE]: PADEMU Failing to pair a DS4 ZCT2U controller

Describe the issue

I have tested PADEMU bluetooth with a DS3, a DS4 rev. ZCT1 and a DS4 ZCT2U. The DS4 and DS4 ZCT1 both function as expected, working perfectly fine via both Bluetooth and USB.

The DS4 ZCT2U works via USB, but will not work when using Bluetooth. The console does detect it via USB, but the DS Controller Paired to MAC Address is listed as "00:00:12:00:00:00" by default. Attempting to Pair will result in the MAC address changing seemingly at random, however the digits containing 12 do not change. In the other two controllers described, the controllers successfully pair to match the Bluetooth adapter MAC. Attempting to pair the problematic controller changes all of the MAC digits (besides the aforementioned 12) seemingly at random.

I have tried both using the reset switch on the controller itself and power cycling it by removing the battery, neither of which have changed the behavior. It's worth noting that the controller does not have pairing issues outside of PADEMU, it will pair perfectly fine with any bluetooth-enabled PC I've tried. I do not have a PS4 console to test with, however.

I'm still unsure if the problem remains with the controller or if there's any other diagnostic information I can give. Please let me know if so.

Console model

SCPH-39001

OPL version / revision

OPL Stable v1.1.0

In which device(s) have you experienced this issue?

USB, HDD

Context and extra information

Bluetooth dongle used is a CSR 4.0, listed in the Adapter Info page as "Bluetooth Adapter should be fully compatible with DS3/DS4 contorllers." All controllers described are genuine Sony products. I have tested this in both OPL Stable v1.1.0 and the latest beta as of 2023/09/01, and observed the same behavior in both. Behaviour does not change whether or not "Fake DS3 Workaround" is selected.

Evidently I didn't do my diligence before making this, as #10 in this FAQ - https://www.ps2-home.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6821, mentions my exact issue.

The thread mentioned OPL version 1271 being able to work, I only found version 1277 and it doesn't have bluetooth support.

I have since tried plugging my dongle into another PC and making it pair with my DS4, and then simply trying to power on the controller while my PS2 is powered and opened into OPL. What ended up happening is as I power on the controller, it would blink white as it try to connects, but then the light would turn solid for a second before shutting off, the speaker making audible pops.

I haven't found a proper workaround for this as of yet. I will be trying to upload proper diagnostic data soon.

@thenimas, use this, it's much better than PADEMU.

Any solutions?
