Open-PS2-Loader [ISSUE][SLPM_620.49]: Densha de Go 3 frozen on black screen between game and menus

Describe the issue

The CD-based game "Densha de Go! 3" is playable via SMB and USB (on 1.1.0 stable), and also using exFAT on the internal HDD using one of grimdoomer's beta builds (1.2.0.6-1996). However, in all cases, the game will crash to a black screen when you exit an active game (either by finishing/failing or using the start menu).

It's easy to repro: load the game up, pick the first option over and over until you're driving a train, pause, second option to exit.

Besides default settings, I tried Mode 6 and Mode 3. With Mode 6, the failure is the same. With Mode 3, only the game's initial menus work, and the main game will not start (black screen).

I'm guessing this has something to do with the way the game is resetting the IOP, but not sure. It's an easy and fast repro if anyone wants to take a shot, or has suggestions for me to try. Thanks!

OPL Beta 1.2.0 2016 SMB & USB - black screen when exiting the level to the main menu (ISO & ZSO)

My PS2 model is SCPH-90008. Compatibility modes do not help. I use redump images and don't use PADEMU, VMC, GSM.

@AKuHAK, this game first launches the SLPM_620.49 file, then after selecting the first item in the main menu, T3.ELF is launched. Also I tried Custom ELF and OPL 0.9.2 but it didn't help. By the way, this issue is very similar to this one.
